‘Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat’ – produced by Fahad Mustafa and Dr. Ali Kazmi; directed by Syed Zeeshan Ali Zaidi and written by Mamoona Aziz has only had eight episodes so far but all of Pakistan as well as those living outside the country are absolutely loving it. As soon as one episode concludes, everyone craves and yearns for the next episode.

Don’t take my word for it, just look at the number of staggering views each episode is receiving on YouTube. The first episode, which was uploaded on Express TV’s YouTube channel on the 10th of August, has now got more than 700,000 views. The actual viewership is, of course, much higher because the aforementioned figure does not include those who watch it directly on Express TV or via other streaming platforms.

In addition to the above, captions have been added on YouTube in English so non-Urdu speakers can also watch, fully enjoy and process the whole drama.

After all, why wouldn’t this be the case given the amazing and outstanding skills displayed by the actors and actresses. Each individual on screen has performed in a perfect manner: they have clearly understood the feelings, thoughts, assignments, motives, emotions and tasks of each carefully crafted role and script.

Plus, the clothes and dresses the stars have been given are exquisite. In each scene, the stars, such as Junaid Khan, Amna Ilyas, Ayza Awan Emmad Irfani and others – are wearing clothes that either make them look handsome or mesmerisingly beautiful.

As a viewer, I am completely immersed in this drama; the acting is exact and on point so much so that it resembles reality. This is something that is incredibly challenging to accomplish.

However, credit must also be allocated to the hard working and incredibly talented people working behind the cameras such as the producers and the writer, whom I mentioned in the opening paragraph.

We, the viewers, and I, as a journalist, would also like to acknowledge the work of others who worked on this thought-provoking and eye catching drama, especially the following people:

  • Big Bang Entertainment
  • Fahad Mustafa: Producer
  • Dr. Ali Kazmi: Producer
  • Mamoona Aziz: Writer
  • Arslan Zeeshan: General Manager
  • Hina Amaan: GM Content ETV

You can watch ‘Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat’ on Express TV every Tuesday at 8 PM sharp or on Express TV’s YouTube channel later on.
