A Muslim woman in Wales bought pizza for nurses and doctors at the Royal Gwent Hospital in New Port. Zohra Hussain, a mother of two children, did this highly commendable act to show her appreciation for the heroes working at the front line in the war against the coronavirus pandemic.

To make this heart-warming act possible, Zohra Hussain raised some of the money through a Go Fund Me page. The page was titled ‘Look after our NHS staff’ and raised a whopping £115 from the fundraiser’s family and friends.

In the description of the page, the Welsh resident wrote: ‘I am raising funds to order Pizzas for our local hospital staff at Royal Gwent hospital, to brighten up their day and just to say THANK YOU.’

In an exclusive comment for NewsLeaf.com, Zohra Hussain explained why she decided to buy pizza for her local hospital staff. “I thought about the hard-work and sacrifices the NHS staff and their families are making right now. Therefore, I wanted do something nice to brighten up their day and put a smile on their face”, she said.

This is one of many stories of how Muslims in the UK – and, all around the world – are helping those worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic. There are examples of how a number of Muslim medics have sadly died while treating coronavirus patients in the UK.

Other positive and uplifting stories also include of Mosques helping to deliver food and medicine to the most vulnerable in their communities.
