Pakistan spectacularly annihilated Bangladesh in the second T20 International Match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore today. This is Pakistan’s second victory over Bangladesh in the three match T20 series.

Like in the first T20 International Match, Bangladesh again opted to bat first. They scored 136 runs at the expense of 6 wickets in their 20 Overs. Their top, high scoring batsman were: Tamim Iqbal, Afif Hossain and Mahmudullah.

In response, Pakistan achieved their target in just 16.4 Overs, with 20 balls left and 9 wickets in hand. Their top scorers were Mohammad Hafeez and Babar Azam, both not out.

To describe the significance of this stupendous victory, the official Twitter account of the International Cricket Council tweeted: “This is Pakistan’s first T20I series victory since October 2018.”

Both teams will now play their third and final T20 International Match on Monday, 27 January at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
