Pakistani fans of the world-wide famous and award-winning South Korean group, BTS, just put a huge smile on lots of faces. They made lots of people happy by donating to a ‘Children Cancer Hospital’ to mark BTS member SUGA’s birthday, who is also known by his actual name as Min Yoon-Gi.

As SUGA’s birthday is on 9 March, Pakistani fans decided that the best way to celebrate his birthday would be to share their happiness with others.

As a consequence, a group of fans decided to donate money to the Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF). The organisation provides a range of medical services, according to the official website of AMTF.

After donating the money, Sobia Gillani shared the news of her and her friends’ charitable act with fellow BTS fans on Twitter. In a social media post, Sobia Gillani tweeted: ‘We Pakistani Armys Did a Little Donation Project For BTS’s member(SUGA) By Donating to Children Cancer Hospital (AMTF)’.

In total they donated 5,500 Pakistani Rupees. In the section for the ‘Donor Name’, they wrote ‘Mr. Min-Yoongi From BTS’.

In an exclusive comment for NewsLeaf.com, Sobia Gillani explained to me why she decided to celebrate SUGA’s birthday in this brilliant manner.

Sobia Gillani said: “Stanning BTS for more than 2 years I have learnt so much good things from them and through their music. They have helped me so much so I want to return them with good deeds and by helping people in need”.

Sobia Gillani further stated that “Just like BTS donates under the name of ARMY we do the same and I hope someday us Pakistani ARMY gets to see BTS perform here”.

The above tweet – and, charitable act – is already gaining lots of praise from other social media users.

Pakistani fans of BTS – as well as those from other countries – are well known for their charitable nature as there are many similar examples of fans engaging in charitable acts on the birthdays of BTS members.
