The fans of the popular South Korean music group BTS already know why their idols are the best.

But for people outside of the fan circle (and for people without an ounce of musical taste) it can be difficult to understand why BTS has has an incredibly huge and loyal following from all around the world: from South Korea to the USA, from Britain to South Africa; and, from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan.

Therefore, here are three reasons for non-BTS fans to understand why the legendary group is loved so much by so many people.

Awards

Since their inception in 2013, BTS have been the recipient of numerous awards from all around the world. They have won so many awards that one could easily build another Mount Everest with the number of awards they have been bestowed with so far.

A few of their international awards include: MTV Europe Music Award for Biggest Fans (2018), Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist (2019, 2018, 2017), Teen Choice Award for Choice Fandom (2019, 2018), iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Boy Band (2018), Billboard Music Award for Top Duo/Group (2019) and many more award which you can read about here.

They Care

All seven members of the Bangtan Boys go the extra-mile. They don’t just sing, dance and perform on stage. Instead, they also care about the challenges being faced by young people all around the world. This is precisely the reason why they teamed up with UNICEF as part of the anti-bullying campaign.

In response to their efforts, UNICEF thanked “BTS for helping to End Violence against children”.

More importantly, BTS’ social awareness campaign are not just a one-off exercise. Rather, they do these noble acts from time to time. In 2018, for example, BTS spoke at the United Nations as part of UNICEF’s campaign to “help every young person into quality education, training or employment by 2030”.

Everyone wants to collaborate with them

Zara Larsson, Becky G, Nicki Minaj, Halsey, DJ Steve Aoki, Wale and Charlie Puth all had the privilege of collaborating either with BTS or with individual members of BTS so far.

Even more interesting is the fact that the list of people who want to collaborate with BTS is incredibly long.
