Pakistan’s most populated city, Karachi, has seen record breaking low temperatures this month, with temperatures plunging into single digits.

For example, the temperature fell to 9 degrees Celsius.

This is especially hard for a city that constantly sees high temperatures of more than 40 degrees Celsius in late spring, summer and early autumn.

The recent wave of cold weather means that this is impacting people in detrimental ways, especially those from a lower economic background.

To help those from a less fortunate background, a few teenagers in Pakistan collected donations so they distribute warm and thick blankets among those worst affected by these wintery months.

This is highlighted by the work of Hasnain Haider and Romail Moiz who posted on their social media about this charitable projects and collected the donations.

It turned out to be a successful project thus far as they have already distributed a fair amount of blankets as evident in the aforementioned picture.
